Jeonnam Fire Department Hosts the 1st Children's Fire Science and Technology Competition
Over 5,000 Elementary Students in the Province Participate... 2nd Competition on the 25th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters announced on the 15th that more than 5,000 fifth-grade elementary school students from across the province participated in the '1st Jeollanam-do Children's Fire Science and Technology Competition.'
This competition, held for the first time this year, is a fire safety knowledge quiz contest hosted by Jeonnam Fire and supported by the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education.
In celebration of Family Month in May, the event was promoted to help children learn basic fire prevention knowledge in a fun quiz format, contributing to the spread of a safety culture.
The questions, covering fire, disaster, and daily safety knowledge, consisted of 25 multiple-choice and O/X quiz items, conducted in real-time online by the program operator, K-SIC Co., Ltd. Daejeon Studio. Among the participants, 100 were selected by lottery to receive small prizes.
Participants joined using mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets through the Ttaenggiji Quiz app, and the 40 finalists advancing to the second round will be announced on the Fire Headquarters website and notified individually via text message on the 16th.
The second round will be held on the 25th with mobile video participation. All finalists will receive fire extinguishers, and the six ultimate winners will be awarded certificates from the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education and prizes.
