COVID-19 Cases Nationwide Reach 24,945 by 9 PM...3,789 Fewer Than Yesterday
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to decline, the number of new confirmed cases fell below 25,000 by 9 PM on the 14th.
According to Seoul City and other local governments, from midnight to 9 PM on the same day, 24,945 people across 17 cities and provinces nationwide were confirmed positive for COVID-19.
This is 3,789 fewer than the 28,734 cases recorded at the same time the previous day. Compared to one week ago on the 7th at the same time (38,735 cases), it decreased by 13,790, and compared to two weeks ago on the 30th of last month (34,544 cases), it decreased by 9,599. Since there is still time until midnight when the count closes, the number of new confirmed cases announced on the 15th will increase from this, but it is likely to remain in the mid-20,000 range.
As of 9 PM on this day, new confirmed cases were 10,876 (43.6%) in the metropolitan area and 14,069 (56.4%) in non-metropolitan areas. By region, Gyeonggi had 5,725 cases, Seoul 4,025, Gyeongbuk 1,879, Gyeongnam 1,735, Daegu 1,274, Chungnam 1,170, Jeonbuk 1,131, Incheon 1,126, Jeonnam 1,125, Chungbuk 1,054, Gangwon 965, Daejeon 923, Busan 814, Ulsan 767, Gwangju 685, Jeju 346, and Sejong 228.
