On the 13th, President Yoon sent a congratulatory message to the 41st Teachers' Day ceremony hosted by the Korea Federation of Teachers' Associations (KFTA), saying, "I deeply appreciate the efforts of teachers who have worked hard to ensure students' safety and their right to learn despite the difficult circumstances caused by COVID-19."
President Yoon said, "Many people worry about the future of the Republic of Korea, but I have never doubted our future," adding, "This is because we have the power of love and dedication stronger than the power of change, and the main actors of that power are the teachers who are protecting the education field."
President Yoon stated, "The new government will do its utmost so that teachers can devote themselves to loving and educating children," and "We will ensure that teachers' voices are well reflected so that they can have pride and confidence worthy of their passion."
The Teachers' Day ceremony was held for the first time in three years, with about 100 attendees. At the ceremony, awards such as the Education Family Award were given to families with five or more educators, and the Education Distinguished Family Award was given to families with three or more generations of educators. The Special Merit Award was given to 36 people, the Education Merit Award to 2,058 people, and the Philanthropy Award to 12 people.
