Daejeon Special Judicial Police Detect 7 Businesses Violating the Air Quality Preservation Act and Take Legal Action
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Daejeon Special Judicial Police announced on the 13th that they had caught seven business sites violating the Air Environment Conservation Act through planned crackdowns from March to April.
The crackdown targeted 54 sites generating scattered dust around large construction sites and residential area construction sites within the jurisdiction.
The caught business sites are suspected of either neglecting or poorly managing scattered dust (6 sites) or operating emission facilities without installing pollution prevention facilities (1 site).
The special judicial police will file criminal charges against the violators at the caught business sites and notify the relevant autonomous district to issue orders such as suspension of operations and compliance orders.
