Hapcheon Haeinsa Sorigil, Canola Flower Field Created ... A Photo Spot for Cherished Memories
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Canola flowers are in full bloom in the farmland around Haeinsa Sorigil in Gaya-myeon, Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam, emerging as a popular spot for photography.
Since 2019, Gaya-myeon has been cultivating seasonal scenic crops every year on fallow land in Hwangsan Village as part of the Haeinsa Sorigil five-sense content development project, offering memorable experiences to tourists visiting Gaya-myeon.
The canola flowers sown this time were planted in 49,055㎡ (14,839 pyeong) of farmland around Haeinsa Sorigil last March and are expected to be in full bloom for 15 days starting from the 14th.
A tourist, Mr. Lee, who visited Sorigil with his family, said, “With social distancing lifted, I came on a trekking trip from Changwon, and the waves of yellow canola flowers swaying with the wind felt like an unexpected bonus.”
Park Yi-mook, head of Gaya-myeon, said, “I hope everyone visiting Haeinsa Sorigil overcomes COVID-19 and spends a refreshing time filled with new hope,” adding, “The canola flowers are expected to be in full bloom around this weekend, so please come to the beautiful Sorigil, perfect for taking photos, and make wonderful memories.”
