SK Ecoplant to Establish Master's Program in 'High-Tech Solutions' with Sungkyunkwan University

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] SK Eco Engineering is joining hands with Sungkyunkwan University to nurture talent needed in the construction industry.
On the 12th, SK Eco Engineering announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sungkyunkwan University for "nurturing talent to lead the future construction industry" at the 600th Anniversary Hall of Sungkyunkwan University the day before.
Attending the signing ceremony were Yoon Hyuk-no, CEO of SK Eco Engineering; Jin Byung-woo, Executive Director of Management Support; Ji Heon-ju, Executive Director of Plant Academy; Shin Dong-ryeol, President of Sungkyunkwan University; Park Sun-gyu, Vice President; and Professor Kwon Soon-wook.
Through this agreement, SK Eco Engineering and Sungkyunkwan University will operate a master's degree program. Starting this September, a Hi-Tech Solutions department will be newly established and operated within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University. SK Eco Engineering will prepare a comprehensive care program for members throughout the entire process from candidate selection to degree acquisition, enabling Sungkyunkwan University to provide substantial lectures and an educational environment without administrative burdens.
The educational curriculum will be jointly developed by SK Eco Engineering and Sungkyunkwan University. The curriculum will mainly focus on ▲ strengthening New-EPC fundamentals such as BIM, AI·Big Data, Modular·OSC, AWP ▲ optimizing corporate business portfolio education including hydrogen·eco-friendly and battery industries ▲ fostering T-shaped convergent talents for new business model development, emphasizing smart construction technology and digital transformation (DT) capabilities.
For SK Eco Engineering participating members, work will be exempted for one year, and both salary and tuition will be supported.

Yoon Hyuk-no, CEO of SK Eco Engineering, said, "We have prepared this master's degree program with the intention of nurturing our greatest asset, ‘people,’ that is, our ‘members.’" He added, "We will continue to strengthen the development of core talents to become a leading smart construction company based on digital transformation capabilities."
