Announcing 'Sampyo Mortar' Technology... Hosting Customer Invitation Event
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jonghwa] Sampyo Group announced on the 11th that it held a customer invitation event at its Sejong plant to increase interest and understanding of mortar products.
The event was composed of various programs, including introducing Sampyo Group's mortar technology competitiveness and main product lineup to invited customer company representatives, as well as touring the production process.
In addition, customized solutions were provided by proposing special mortar products applicable according to construction site conditions, and customer requests and difficulties were also heard.
A representative from a customer company who attended the event said, “I had never had the opportunity to hear detailed explanations about mortar products, but through this opportunity, I was able to learn about Sampyo Mortar's technological capabilities,” and added, “I hope such events will be held frequently in the future.”
Sampyo Group is making various efforts to increase contact points with customers and provide more differentiated services. In particular, it operates a dedicated customer organization to resolve on-site difficulties and provide comprehensive support from installation to A/S.
Recently, due to the ripple effects of rapidly rising raw material prices and labor costs, mortar has been spotlighted as a cement substitute, which has also increased interest in the Sejong plant. Unlike general cement, mortar can be used immediately by just adding water, which has the advantage of reducing construction time and labor costs.
The Sejong plant was completed in November last year and is currently in the stabilization phase. It has a capacity to produce and sell 850,000 tons of mortar annually. Sampyo Group plans to use the Sejong plant as a base to discover new mortar demand in the central region.
Previously, the Sejong Mortar Plant obtained KS (Korean Industrial Standards) certification. KS certification is granted to production plants, and products produced in KS-certified plants are recognized for reliability and stability in terms of quality. Based on this KS certification, Sampyo Group plans to prepare various marketing events for closer communication with customers.
