Seodaeseok, Gwangju Seo-gu Mayor Preliminary Candidate, Holds Youth Policy Meeting
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo Dae-seok, a preliminary candidate for mayor of Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, held a youth policy meeting on the 10th and engaged in in-depth discussions on youth policies.
About 30 participants attended the meeting, including representatives from facilities, institutions, and organizations participating in the Gwangju Youth Policy Coalition.
The attendees proposed eight youth policies, including improving the treatment of youth leaders, normalizing the operation of district-run youth training facilities, establishing a youth growth support system, and expanding child and youth-friendly villages.
Candidate Seo said, "When I started as the mayor in the 7th term of the civilian government, it was truly regrettable that there were no youth experts in the district office," adding, "So, when building the Youth Culture House, we hired youth experts as specialists so that they could work together for up to four years, during the mayor's term."
He continued, "If elected as the Seo-gu mayor, I will definitely implement the proposed youth policies and provide family care allowances to youth under family care."
