Song Sang-geun, Director of the Marine Policy Office at the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (36th Administrative Examination), was appointed as Deputy Minister of Oceans and Fisheries, and Yoo Je-cheol, President of the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (35th Administrative Examination), was appointed as Deputy Minister of Environment.
Director Song was born in 1968, graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Economics, and previously served as spokesperson and Marine Policy Officer at the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.

President Yoo was born in 1964, graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in Public Administration, and holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Kumoh National Institute of Technology. He previously served as Director of the Living Environment Policy Office at the Ministry of Environment.
