At around 4:57 PM on the 8th, a fire of unknown cause broke out on a 28-seat intercity bus traveling on National Road No. 7 in Jeongam-ri, Ganghyeon-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do, and was extinguished only after 20 minutes.
The bus was completely burned by the fire, but six passengers safely evacuated, resulting in no casualties.
The fire authorities stated, "The bus driver became aware of the fire thanks to the driver of a following vehicle honking and signaling. Afterwards, the driver stopped the vehicle, evacuated the passengers, and reported to 119."
