[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Human Resources Development Committee of the Seoul Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold the 'Seoul Regional Employment Policy Academy' for four months starting from the 24th, inviting local employment experts.
On the 9th, the Seoul Chamber announced that the academy will be conducted in the form of 9 lectures across 3 modules for 30 job policy officials. There will be no tuition or textbook fees.
Starting with Na Young-don, President of the Korea Employment Information Service, presenting 'Central Government Employment Policies and Major Projects,' a series of briefings on job creation measures by generation and region will be held sequentially over four months. President Na said, "To resolve job mismatches, it is important for the central government to support the activation of voluntary discussions among local stakeholders," adding, "Efforts and support at the central level should not be spared to ensure that regions design and operate employment measures suited to their circumstances and produce successful cases."
The academy aims to enhance the expertise of local employment policy officials such as local government and related ministry officials to improve policy planning and implementation effectiveness. It plans to strengthen networks among local employment experts to boost policy capabilities and collaboration. Through this, the academy is expected to play a role in providing direction for job policy development and commercialization support in basic local governments.
