On the 8th, candidates Lee Ju-ho, Park Sun-young, and Jo Jeon-hyeok held a unification agreement ceremony in front of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and agreed on unification. That morning, candidate Jo, who began a hunger strike on the 6th, visited candidate Lee and announced the unification agreement. With four days left until the official candidate registration, the path to unification has opened.
During the process of promoting unification among the three candidates, candidate Lee Ju-ho will withdraw as promised. Candidate Lee had previously stated on the 1st that he would immediately withdraw if either Jo Jeon-hyeok or Jo Young-dal participated in unification. Candidates Park and Jo agreed to immediately start unification discussions through working-level consultations.
On that day, candidate Lee Ju-ho said, "I am grateful that candidates Park Sun-young and Jo Jeon-hyeok agreed on the urgent need to replace Seoul education, which has been distorted by eight years of left-wing superintendents," adding, "I hope Seoul citizens who have supported me will give their strength to the moderate and conservative unified candidate so that Seoul education can definitely be replaced."
Candidate Jo Jeon-hyeok said on Facebook, "Despite being the unified candidate recognized for legitimacy and justification by the Education Promotion Association, they are trying to start over from scratch," and added, "Since it has been proven that multi-party unification has already failed, I will pursue one-on-one unification with candidates Park Sun-young and Jo Young-dal."

Candidate Jo Young-dal said, "I will settle the unification that Seoul citizens want through a confrontation between the education superintendent and the political superintendent. Since unification must be completed before the official election registration, please respond immediately to this proposal," adding, "If accepted, we will start by negotiating the schedule. The unification process must be conducted publicly."
Candidate Jo Young-dal stated, "I will conclude this muddy moderate-conservative unification process with a one-shot unification," and explained that while unification methods include candidate withdrawal by a bold decision, acceptance of decisions by a third party, and opinion polls, policy verification through a public candidate debate must precede.
