[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Australian home furniture company Koala has donated mattresses worth 50 million KRW to vulnerable groups in Seoul and Pyeongtaek in collaboration with the international relief and development NGO Hope Friends World Vision and the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
Koala made this donation to share the vision of "better life" starting from "better sleep," which Koala promotes, with local community members and to support comfortable sleeping environments for neighbors. The "Koala Mattress" donated by Koala was delivered to 36 households in Seoul and 16 households in Pyeongtaek through a tripartite cooperation between Koala, Hope Friends World Vision, and the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
Kwon Sun-young, Marketing Director of Koala Korea, said, "We made this donation to practice Koala's vision of presenting sustainable and ethical values for consumers and the planet in Korea as well," adding, "Koala plans to continue various activities that support healthy sleep for neighbors and coexist with local communities."
