President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol announced the first round of appointments for secretary-level positions at the Presidential Secretariat on the 5th.
Director Baek has held positions such as head of urban regeneration at MOLIT, director of the Happy Housing Policy Division, director of Urban Housing in Gyeonggi Province, roles at the Busan Regional Land Management Office, director of Housing Welfare Policy, head of the Urban Regeneration Planning Group, and Director of Land Policy. He is known for his recognized expertise in land, regional development, urban policy, and housing supply.

Director Baek was born in Geochang-eup, Gyeongnam, and graduated from Geochang Daeseong Middle School, Daeseong High School, Sungkyunkwan University, and completed a master's program at KAIST.
