View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education will operate an online and offline ‘Open Classroom for Academic Planning’ using extended virtual worlds (metaverse) to support academic planning counseling tailored to students' career paths.
The Office of Education will run the ‘High School Credit System Metaverse Academic Planning Open Classroom’ for students, parents, elementary, middle, and high school teachers, and general citizens interested in the high school credit system.
The open classroom consists of ▲ a high school credit system introduction classroom and a career academic planning classroom that helps intuitively understand general elective and career elective subjects by curriculum ▲ meeting rooms and user-configured classrooms freely accessible through a reservation system ▲ and a timetable practice classroom where individuals can select subjects according to the curriculum and practice.
The High School Credit System Support Center website also operates a subject selection practice space. In this space, users can practice selecting subjects from the six semesters of the three-year high school curriculum, and the practiced content can be saved, downloaded, and printed.
The subject selection practice space is composed of general practice, where users can learn the 2015 revised high school curriculum regulations, and school-specific subject selection practice, where users can practice subject selection for each of the 41 general high schools in Ulsan.
In addition to the online space, an offline space for face-to-face counseling has also been prepared.
The Office of Education operates the ‘Open Classroom for Academic Planning’ at the Ulsan High School Credit Support Center within the Ulsan Education Research Information Center.
The ‘Open Classroom for Academic Planning’ provides counseling on overall academic planning, including student career-tailored subject selection, by accepting prior reservations from students and parents who wish to participate.
