Gwangju Buk-gu Operates Integrated Queue Waiting System for Comprehensive Civil Service Office
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju City announced on the 2nd that it has introduced an 'Integrated Queue Waiting System' to enhance the convenience of residents using the Comprehensive Civil Service Office.
The integrated queue waiting system issues a waiting ticket for civil service processing, displays the number of people waiting and the queue number on a large TV screen, and provides voice guidance when the corresponding number is called.
To implement the system, Buk-gu installed integrated queue ticket kiosks that expand the ticket issuing machines, previously operated only at some certificate issuance counters, to all counters in the Comprehensive Civil Service Office.
With this integrated queue operation, waiting times and order for each counter become clear, which is expected to help resolve inconveniences for civil petitioners caused by waiting in line or processing order.
A Buk-gu official said, “We will continue to make efforts so that civil petitioners can conveniently use the Comprehensive Civil Service Office.”
