Dong-Eui Science University and Igaja Hairbis Sign Industry-Academia Agreement for Hairdressing Workforce Training

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dong-Eui Institute of Technology signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement with Igaja Hairbis on the 28th for the ‘Industry-Academia Cooperation for Training Hairdressing Professionals’ program.
The agreement was established to nurture talent that will lead the development of the local beauty industry.
Both institutions agreed to collaborate on joint educational development to enhance the field adaptability and practical skills of students in the early employment contract department, ‘Smart Beauty Care Department.’
Attendees at the signing ceremony included Dong-Eui Institute of Technology’s Director of Industry-Academia Cooperation Lee Hwa-seok, Director of Smart Living Care Business Group Kim Tae-young, Igaja Hairbis Deputy General Manager Song Jin-young, and Assistant Manager Seo Ji-hye.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ joint human resource development related to the early employment contract department ▲ technology development related to R&BD ▲ joint participation and support in educational projects ▲ cooperation in participation of Igaja Hairbis franchise stores ▲ joint operation and participation in industry-academia councils ▲ cooperation in various projects and events promoted by both institutions.
Director Lee Hwa-seok said, “Through the agreement with Igaja Hairbis, a nationwide beauty franchise brand, we have established a foundation for students in the early employment contract department to complete Igaja Hairbis’s educational program and secure employment in their desired region.”
Last year, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology was selected for the ‘Leading Specialized College Project for Early Employment Contract Departments’ aimed at customized human resource development in promising new industries of the 4th Industrial Revolution era.

Following the project selection, from this year, early employment contract departments in Smart Beauty Care, Smart Cosmetics Materials, and Smart Food Cooking were newly established.
