View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Jeong Young-ae, Minister of Gender Equality and Family, expressed condolences on the passing of Kim Yang-ju, a victim of the Japanese military 'comfort women', on the 2nd.
According to the Masan, Changwon, and Jinhae Citizens' Association for Comfort Women, Grandma Kim passed away around 8:58 PM on the 1st. She was 98 years old.
Minister Jeong said, "I hope Grandma Kim finds peace," and added, "The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family will support the comfort women victims to live their remaining years comfortably and will actively promote projects to restore the honor and dignity of the victims."
