Webzen Launches 'MU Archangel 2' Service in Taiwan... Tops Popularity Rankings on Both Major App Markets

Webzen officially started the service of the mobile MMORPG 'MU Archangel 2' in Taiwan on April 28. 'MU Archangel 2' ranked first in the App Store popularity chart immediately after its release, and after the weekend, it also achieved the number one spot in the Google Play Store popularity ranking.
To accommodate the rapidly increasing number of 'MU Archangel 2' users in Taiwan, Webzen expanded the game servers from the original 2 to 15.
Riding on the rising popularity rankings in the two major app markets, Webzen also expects an increase in sales rankings.
Webzen analyzes that the overseas popularity factors of 'MU Archangel 2' include the high recognition of the 'MU Archangel' series and excellent localization work. For efficient game service and active market penetration, Webzen directly operates 'MU Archangel 2' through its local subsidiary, 'Webzen Taiwan.'
Webzen's 'MU Archangel' series is an IP (intellectual property) that receives significant attention in the Taiwanese and Southeast Asian game markets. Webzen has been releasing the 'MU Archangel' series in overseas markets since 2020.
The previous title, 'MU Archangel,' began its release in Vietnam in 2020 and officially started service in five Southeast Asian countries (Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia) in 2021. It ranked within the top 10 in app market sales rankings in the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore.
