[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jang Seok-woong, a preliminary candidate for Jeonnam Superintendent of Education, announced on the 2nd that he will further expand basic academic responsibility education and enhance the learning ability of all students through individualized customized education.
Candidate Jang Seok-woong stated, "Creativity and critical thinking skills are core competencies for living in the future society, and what supports this is basic academic skills," emphasizing, "Without this, future core competencies are like a house of cards, and basic academic skills are the framework and muscles for self-directed learning and life."
To this end, he plans to promote the 'Jeonnam Education Recovery Comprehensive Project' in the post-COVID-19 era to restore students' psychological, emotional, and social development, which have been lacking due to the prolonged pandemic. He will further expand the 'Basic Academic Skills Dedicated Teacher System' by target group and introduce the 'Elementary and Secondary School Class Cooperation Instructor System' to strengthen individualized customized guidance.
