Marking the 100th anniversary of Children's Day, the MMCA will operate a variety of educational programs titled "Museum with Children," designed to expand children's cultural and artistic experiences, tailored to the characteristics of each museum and the exhibitions on display.
At the Seoul branch, visitors can view the exhibitions "Your and My Memories" (4.8?8.7) and "Hito Steyerl" (4.29?9.18), access online content that helps appreciate the exhibitions from various perspectives, and receive activity sheets to complete missions. Additionally, the "Museum Together" event, which shares stories children convey to the museum via the web, will be continuously available.
Furthermore, four performances interpreting museum artworks and landscapes through contemporary dance, in which children can directly participate, will be held during the period (on the 5th and 7th). Each session allows 40 children to join through first-come, first-served on-site registration. There is also a "Make Your Own Flowerpot" activity, where participants can take home flowerpots made from recycled natural materials carrying a small message for carbon neutrality; this is limited to 100 participants per day on a first-come, first-served basis.
At the Gwacheon branch, ongoing programs linked to the current Children's Museum exhibition "You and Me__" include "Exciting MMCA Exploration Life," where children observe and explore indoor and outdoor museum spaces and artworks, completing missions and quizzes provided on activity sheets.
Additionally, a "My Own MMCA Secret Map" program invites children to retrace their journey from the three bus stops with art bus shelters to the Children's Museum, creating a museum map based on their personal emotions and experiences. Both "Exciting MMCA Exploration Life" and "My Own MMCA Secret Map" are available throughout the period and allow same-day participation.
