Zelensky: "Ukrainian Forces Destroy Over 1,000 Russian Tanks"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on the 1st (local time) that the Ukrainian military has destroyed more than 1,000 Russian tanks since Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
In a video released on social media (SNS) that day, President Zelensky said, "The Ukrainian military has destroyed over 1,000 Russian tanks, about 200 aircraft, and 2,500 armored vehicles."
President Zelensky added, "Russia has already weakened," and said, "They may have to reduce the military equipment mobilized for the Victory Day celebration on May 9 in Moscow."
The Ukrainian General Staff also announced on its official website that as of the previous day, 1,008 Russian tanks had been destroyed. They claimed that Russian military casualties have reached 23,200.

The Russian military has not disclosed its losses since March 25, when the General Staff announced that "1,351 Russian soldiers were killed and 3,825 wounded during the special military operation in Ukraine."
