"Large-Scale Shopping Festival" GS Retail Launches 'GS Sangsangchowol'
GS Retail Participates in All Distribution Channels... Held Throughout May
Collaborates with Pop Art Master Kenny Scharf to Showcase Limited Edition Goods
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] GS Retail announced on the 1st that it will hold the shopping festival "GS SangSang Chowoal," where all distribution channels including GS25, GS Shop, GS The Fresh, and GS Fresh Mall will participate.
"GS SangSang Chowoal" is GS Retail's largest shopping festival held twice a year (May and October). GS Retail stated, "We will provide customers with the best shopping benefits throughout May."
GS Retail collaborated with world-renowned pop art designer Kenny Scharf to plan "GS SangSang Chowoal" under the theme of "a shopping universe beyond imagination." This unique collaboration reflects the recent trend of art marketing enthusiasm, especially among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z). Limited edition goods such as compact carriers, Boston bags, and picnic mats were designed using Kenny Scharf's representative "Blob" series. GS Retail said, "We have secured sufficient quantities by expanding the production scale of goods more than three times compared to previous events," and added, "The three types of goods can be received on a first-come, first-served or lottery basis by participating in events after purchasing event products from each distribution channel using GS Pay, or by meeting certain purchase frequency or amount requirements."
GS25 will offer over 1,500 products with promotions such as 1+1 and super special prices. During the first week of May (10 days), themed "An Extraordinary Week Beyond Imagination," they will run bold promotions such as giving a "4-pack bundle of Omori Kimchi Stew Ramen" as a gift when purchasing a "3-pack set of Hetbahn." Limited edition craft beer and wine in collaboration with Kenny Scharf will also be sold exclusively.
GS Shop will conduct a special "SangSang Chowoal" broadcast focusing on about 30 mega-hit brands through TV home shopping. They will run integrated brand events across three channels: TV home shopping, My Shop, and Shoppy Live. Through the GS Shop application (app), a prize event will be held where customers who purchase over 10,000 KRW can receive luxury bags and other prizes, and a 20% reward points (up to 50,000 KRW) event will be conducted for purchases over 50,000 KRW of brand event products.
GS The Fresh will start with the first week's "Superior Korean Beef Eating Day" event and prepare weekly promotions offering up to 50% discounts on representative products such as fruits, seafood, and Korean pork, along with up to 30% discounts when paying with GS Pay. GS Fresh Mall will run 1+1, super special price events, large-scale prize events, and offer 10,000 The Pop Rewards (GS Retail exclusive points) for purchases over 70,000 KRW and 15,000 The Pop Rewards for purchases over 100,000 KRW.

Additionally, GS Retail plans to provide discount benefits of up to 21,000 KRW (up to 10,000 KRW for GS25 and up to 11,000 KRW for Our Neighborhood Mart (GS The Fresh)) when ordering GS25 and Our Neighborhood Mart (GS The Fresh) products through its own delivery platform "Udeal Order," and to introduce various partnership events through the smart order system "Wine25 Plus."
