Geumcheon-gu Operates 'Forest Prenatal Education Class' in First Half of 2022...Experiential Programs Including Forest Walks, Prenatal Yoga, and Making Prenatal Education Items
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu announced that it will operate the "Picnic to the Forest with the Fetus" program from May to July, allowing safe interaction with the fetus in nature.
The "Picnic to the Forest with the Fetus" program is a forest prenatal education class for pregnant women over 16 weeks of pregnancy and their spouses in Geumcheon-gu.
With experts including forest interpreters, forest healing therapists, and early childhood forest instructors, the program will be held a total of 14 times at the prenatal education center in Hoamsan Healing Forest. Activities include forest walks based on nature, forest meditation, prenatal yoga, making baby mobiles, and dyeing baby jackets, all themed around creating prenatal education items.

Pregnant women over 16 weeks who wish to participate can submit an online application from May 2 to May 11. The program operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
Choi Yoon-kyung, Director of Health Promotion Division, said, "This forest prenatal education program will provide pregnant women with an opportunity to enjoy nature in the city and relieve physical and mental fatigue," adding, "We plan to offer various customized programs for healthy pregnancy and childbirth, so we hope many pregnant women in Geumcheon-gu will participate in this education."
