DB Insurance Launches Support Program for Stray Dog Pet Insurance in Daegu
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] DB Insurance announced on the 29th that it will partner with Daegu City to implement the first pet insurance support project for abandoned dogs in a provincial metropolitan city starting from April this year.
The newly introduced "Daegu City Abandoned Animal Pet Insurance Support Project," launched for the first time this year, aims to alleviate citizens' concerns about diseases, injuries, and safety accidents involving abandoned dogs and to increase the adoption rate of abandoned dogs.
DB Insurance's "Promy Pet Insurance," provided to families adopting abandoned dogs, covers treatment and surgery costs due to diseases or injuries, including skin diseases.
It also covers liability damages if the adopted abandoned dog causes harm to another person's body or damages another person's pet. The insurance period is one year from the date of application.
Daegu City will support the one-year insurance premium for "Promy Pet Insurance" for adoption families who apply for insurance while adopting abandoned dogs from animal protection centers designated by Daegu City. Insurance applications are accepted until December 31 of this year, but enrollment may be unavailable if the budget for this project is exhausted early.
