Dunamu Supports the 15th World Forestry Congress... "Actively Participating in ESG Management"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Dunamu, the operator of the domestic cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, announced on the 29th that it will participate as a sponsor in the World Forestry Congress.
The 15th World Forestry Congress, sponsored by Dunamu, will be held from the 2nd to the 6th of next month at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul. Dunamu will set up an exhibition booth at the World Forestry Congress and introduce various ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities, including youth environmental practice education programs and its subsidiary Lambda256's eco-friendly blockchain cloud service, Luniverse.
At Dunamu's exhibition booth, there will also be an experience event for the Metaverse forest restoration project, Second Forest. Second Forest is a forest restoration support campaign first launched last month by Dunamu in collaboration with the Korea Forest Service. Participants enter the virtual forest Second Forest created within Dunamu's metaverse platform SecondBlock and plant one virtual tree, which results in two real trees being planted in wildfire-affected areas. Over approximately five days, about 28,000 people participated, drawing significant attention. Anyone visiting Dunamu's booth at the World Forestry Congress can experience Second Forest, and planting one virtual tree will lead to two real trees being donated to the forest creation project through the Korea Forest Service.
