Gangwon-do Supports 'Specialized 100-Year Era Senior Jobs'
Final Selection of 9 Market-Type Projects (2 New, 7 Function Enhancements)
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gangwon Province supports income security and social activity participation for elderly residents within the province.
On the 28th, the province announced that it has selected nine projects for the "'2022 Specialized 100-Year Era Senior Job Project" and plans to provide a total of 234 million KRW in support.
The selected projects are "market-type businesses" where seniors can create and operate jobs by themselves.
This project is a "job creation" policy that jointly operates small-scale stores among industries suitable for the elderly.
It includes food manufacturing and sales, manufactured goods production and sales, store operation, local farming, and transportation.
Newly selected projects such as Hoengseong Senior Club (KTX Hoengseong Station convenience store) and Pyeongchang Senior Club (Cheongchun Boribap Daegwallyeong branch) will receive facility investment costs for start-up, labor costs, and customized consulting necessary for early business operation.
Seven projects selected for the "function reinforcement project," including Sokcho Senior Club and Samcheok Senior Club, will receive budgets for replacing aging facilities and equipment.
