Jinju-si Selected as an Excellent City in the 'Gyeongnam Province 2022 Transportation Policy Evaluation'
Citizen-Centered Traffic Administration Achievements... Agency Commendation and Securing 100 Million KRW in Special Adjustment Grants
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City in Gyeongnam was selected as an excellent city in Gyeongnam Province's '2022 City and County Transportation Policy Evaluation,' which selects and awards cities and counties with outstanding achievements in major transportation policy implementation.
This city and county transportation policy evaluation is conducted annually by Gyeongnam Province targeting 18 cities and counties within the province. To enhance the effectiveness of transportation policies, the evaluation is based on 16 detailed indicators across 7 categories.
Based on the 2021 performance, Jinju City received favorable evaluations in areas such as improvement of the transportation culture index, measures to reduce traffic accidents, establishment of public parking lots, enhancement of mobility convenience for transportation-vulnerable groups, and operation of Bravo Taxi.
As an excellent city, Jinju City will receive an institutional commendation along with a special adjustment grant incentive of 100 million KRW.
