Giving Plus Leads ESG Management with 'Give Green' Campaign
Milal Welfare Foundation, Participation of 16 Companies
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] Nanum Store Giving Plus, operated by Milal Welfare Foundation (Chairman Hong Jeong-gil), announced on the 28th that it successfully concluded the eco-friendly sharing campaign ‘Give Green’.
The Give Green campaign, conducted together with the Korea Green Purchasing Network, Seoul Green Purchasing Support Center, and the Road to a Recycling Society, is a campaign that promotes ESG management practices by green product manufacturing companies and eco-friendly consumption by consumers. Companies donate green products to Giving Plus for promotion, and Giving Plus sells the green products and uses the proceeds to support the self-reliance of vulnerable employment groups.
Giving Plus held the Give Green campaign from the 20th to the 27th, coinciding with Disability Day. ‘Green Zones’ for the promotion and sale of green products were set up at all branches, and sales promotion events were held for green products donated by participating companies. Events offering eco-friendly gifts to purchasers were also conducted.
Sixteen companies participated in the Give Green campaign, including NutriOne, Dr. Noah, C-Mix, GiftInfo, HK inno.N, Herb Family (Aronica), Rockies, Genie C&C, Machi Soap, Lotte Confectionery, Healthy Tissue, Bebe Rock, Kangcheong, LX Hausys, Tread & Groove, and Rio Holdings. They donated various eco-friendly products such as plant-derived ingredient products and products with completed eco-friendly certification.
The sales proceeds will be used as wages and living expenses for vulnerable workers such as people with disabilities and seniors working at Giving Plus.
Kim In-jong, Head of Giving Plus at Milal Welfare Foundation, said, “We thank the companies that participated in the Give Green campaign, and we will continue to conduct various eco-friendly sharing campaigns to become a reliable partner for companies wishing to practice ESG management.”
Jeon In-su, CEO of the Korea Green Purchasing Network, stated, “Starting with the Give Green campaign, we will continue to create a culture that can transform citizens’ daily lives into green together with Giving Plus.”

Giving Plus is Korea’s first corporate social responsibility (CSR) specialized sharing store that sells new products donated by companies at reasonable prices and uses all proceeds for creating jobs for people with disabilities and supporting vulnerable groups. Most of the products sold are out-of-season or inventory/overstock items that were at risk of being incinerated because they were not distributed externally to maintain brand value. Giving Plus recycles these as resources, reducing 47,263 tons of carbon emissions and achieving the effect of planting approximately 7.16 million 30-year-old pine trees in the past year alone.
