Rental Enters the 'Self' Era... HelloRental Direct Mall Introduces 'Buy Now' Option
LG HelloVision "One-stop Customer Self-service"
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Customers will be able to easily apply for rental of various home appliances, from TVs and air conditioners to food waste disposers, directly through Hello Rental Direct Mall.
LG HelloVision announced on the 28th that it will launch the ‘Baro Purchase’ service, which allows customers to apply for rentals on Hello Rental Direct Mall in a one-stop, self-service manner without phone consultations.
Baro Purchase is a service that enables simple rental applications 24 hours a day. When applying for rentals on Hello Rental Direct Mall, customers can handle all procedures themselves, including product selection, contract eligibility verification, and delivery requests. Previously, customers had to leave a consultation request on the Direct Mall and then have a phone consultation with a professional counselor, but with Baro Purchase, this process is no longer necessary.
This initiative also aims to popularize rentals. By leveraging discounted prices through affiliated card promotions to activate rental consumption, and adding a convenient non-face-to-face service, LG HelloVision plans to lower the entry barriers for rentals. The target audience will be expanded not only to younger generations familiar with rentals, such as those in their 30s and 40s, but also to middle-aged and older groups.
LG HelloVision opened Hello Rental Direct Mall in December last year to strengthen non-face-to-face distribution channels. It offers a diverse range of products including its own brand items (Green Sink food waste disposer, Aero Doctor air purifier), as well as ▲TVs ▲kitchen and cooking appliances ▲home appliances ▲seasonal and environmental products ▲health and care ▲pet and furniture items. Hello Rental Direct Mall’s daily sales increased fivefold compared to the same period last year within three months of its launch.
