[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] Won Heeryong, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport nominee and Planning Committee Chairman of the Presidential Transition Committee, will visit the site of the Hwajeong I-Park apartment collapse accident in Gwangju, Jeonnam on the 29th.
According to the Transition Committee on the 28th, Chairman Won will visit the collapse accident site and the Honam branch of the Korea Land and Housing Safety Corporation to meet with representatives of the countermeasure committees for prospective residents and affected commercial stores.

The Transition Committee stated, "Even after 100 days since the apartment collapse accident, negotiations for damage compensation have been sluggish, and there is confusion regarding follow-up measures such as the demolition scope," adding, "Chairman Won plans to meet the victims directly at the site to hear their opinions and discuss follow-up measures that the parties involved can accept."
