Korea Center Completes Acquisition of Danawa... "A Step Forward in the E-commerce Market"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Korea Center announced on the 28th that it has completed the acquisition of Danawa, famous for price comparison.
Korea Center finalized the contract to acquire 51.29% of Danawa's shares for 397.4 billion KRW on the 28th of last month. With this acquisition, the company aims to expand its existing business portfolio and establish a stepping stone for a leap forward in the e-commerce market.
Danawa recorded an average of about 24 million visitors per month and 1.5 billion page views per month last year, securing over 1 billion product data items and strengthening its competitiveness in the big data market. Based on this, it achieved sales of 191 billion KRW and an operating profit of 34.9 billion KRW last year.
Korea Center expects significant synergy effects in various marketing fields through the acquisition of Danawa. Additionally, it plans to enhance synergy and influence in the e-commerce market through the integration of big data between Danawa and Enuri and big data processing technology.
