White House: "Biden to Visit Korea and Japan from 20th to 24th Next Month" (Update)

During this trip, President Biden is also scheduled to meet with President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol for a bilateral summit.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki stated in a press release that President Biden aims to deepen ties between governments, economies, and peoples through this visit. She added, "This trip will advance the Biden administration's commitment to the Indo-Pacific region and treaty alliances with South Korea and Japan."
She also mentioned that President Biden will hold bilateral talks with President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio to discuss opportunities to achieve tangible outcomes such as deepening security relations, strengthening economic ties, and expanding close cooperation.
