[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Shinsegae Department Store announced on the 28th that starting from the 29th, it will be the first in the retail industry to curate videos from the popular educational channel 'Sebasi (15 Minutes to Change the World)' through its mobile application (app).
Sebasi, which has 1.5 million YouTube subscribers, is a knowledge content video featuring famous speakers giving lectures of about 15 minutes. Currently, the Sebasi channel has approximately 1,500 videos. Shinsegae signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Sebasi and plans to select and present about 10 lectures each month tailored to themes for customers using the department store app.
In May, the month of family, customized videos will be introduced on themes such as child education, marital relationships, and intergenerational communication. For the child education theme, an actor Shin Ae-ra’s video titled "Four Principles of Discipline for My Child" has been prepared. You can also watch "Reading Methods to Develop Study Skills" by Choi Seung-pil, a reading education expert and author of "Study Brain Reading Method." Both lectures are popular content with over 500,000 views and 9,000 likes.
For the marital relationship theme, divorce specialist lawyer Choi Yuna, author of the Instagram toon "Marriage Red," will deliver a lecture titled "Communication Skills You Need to Know to Avoid Divorce." A lecture on intergenerational communication will also be presented with the video "Do You Know Your Child’s Real Concerns?" introduced by psychiatrist Kim Hyun-soo, author of "The Secret of Emotional Struggles of Today’s Children."
Shinsegae Department Store VIP customers can watch popular lectures available on Sebasi’s paid lecture content platform, "Sebasiland," for free. VIP customers will be provided with 2 to 3 Sebasi premium lectures every month.
In May, VIP customers will be introduced to a video by Kim Ji-yoon, CEO of Good Love Research Institute USTORY, titled "Mutually Good Ways to Make Dating and Marriage Happy." They can also enjoy videos such as "Practice Is Needed in Relationships" by Park Sang-mi, CEO of The Empathy Mind School.
