CJ Logistics Partners with Ministry of SMEs to Support Small Businesses' Overseas Expansion
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] CJ Logistics is joining hands with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to support the overseas expansion of small and venture businesses.
On the 27th, CJ Logistics announced that it signed a 'Voluntary Win-Win Cooperation Company Agreement' with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups at the 'TES Innovation Center' located in Dongtan, Gyeonggi Province. Key figures including Kang Shin-ho, CEO of CJ Logistics, and Kwon Chil-seung, Minister of SMEs and Startups, attended the signing ceremony.
Through this agreement, CJ Logistics will join the 'Caring Companies 2.0' program led by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. 'Caring Companies' is an abbreviation for 'Voluntary Win-Win Cooperation Companies,' meaning that large corporations share their capabilities and know-how with small businesses and small merchants.
CJ Logistics plans to utilize its global logistics network to activate the overseas expansion of small businesses and foster a culture of win-win cooperation among small merchants, small businesses, and large corporations.
First, it will provide discounted rates on international express delivery services for shipments exported from Korea by small businesses and offer various benefits through support for e-commerce export declarations.
When small businesses expand overseas, CJ Logistics will support them by allowing the use of its overseas local logistics centers. Based on logistics centers and infrastructure operating in countries such as China, India, and Vietnam, it plans to provide customized logistics services tailored to local conditions and the needs of small businesses.
It will also establish a channel related to overseas logistics support on 'GoBiz Korea,' an online export platform operated by the Small and Medium Business Corporation. Small businesses will be able to receive customized consulting related to forwarding, international express delivery, and other overseas logistics services through the CJ Logistics channel.
Finally, it will operate academies and webinars related to air and sea logistics for small business practitioners. In addition to basic courses such as export-import customs and document preparation methods, it plans to provide education on country-specific know-how and experiences possessed by CJ Logistics.
