Kolon FnC Officially Launches 'Iro Mens'... Secures Exclusive Domestic Business Rights
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Kolon Industries FnC Division (Kolon FnC) announced on the 27th that the French contemporary brand IRO, which it operates, has unveiled its 2022 Fall/Winter (F/W) collection and will launch 'IRO Mens' following the women's line.
Since 2019, Kolon FnC has officially imported and operated 'IRO Women,' and starting with the 2022 F/W season, it has secured exclusive domestic rights for 'IRO Mens,' diversifying its business through product line expansion.
Kolon FnC believes that successfully launching a high-end contemporary menswear brand will further strengthen its men's portfolio. IRO plans to gradually expand its Korea exclusive lines, co-designed with its Paris design studio, reflecting Korean fashion trends.
The main theme of IRO's 2022 F/W collection is inspired by a universe where past and future, minimalism and maximalism, masculinity and femininity coexist and continuously cycle. Combining accumulated techniques with technical materials and graphic patterns, it proposes genderless silhouettes that do not distinguish between genders. The materials are divided into six categories: denim, shearing, leather, tweed, seasonal, and technical.
IRO Women has transformed into a collection with a completely different mood from before. Moving away from the previous monotone, it adds vibrant and vivid colors that bring life to the looks. It is a collection for confident and bold women, harmoniously combining matte textures with shiny materials. Especially, under the genderless and borderless concept, it will be presented in connection with the newly prepared men's line centered on signature items.
The debuting IRO Mens 2022 F/W collection consists of items for bold men who value their own worth and style. It plans to propose modern and unique styles by mixing and matching various materials such as tweed, leather, and denim.
Additionally, IRO's sports capsule collection 'Club de Paris' is also unveiled for the first time, responding to current sports trends in the Korean market. The capsule collection embodies IRO's French chic DNA while applying materials and designs optimized for sports. The combination of technical fabrics and signature leather materials completes IRO's unique silhouette called the 'contemporary sporty look.'

An IRO representative stated, "We will accelerate business diversification by making significant changes through rebuilding the women's line and launching the men's line.
