The selected artists will receive an annual creative support fund of 10 million KRW for three years, and in the final year of support, they will be given the opportunity to hold a curated exhibition.
Chong Kun Dang selected the final three artists through two rounds of confidential judging by a panel of art experts. This year's selected artists were highly evaluated for their strong thematic awareness, potential for development, and expression of diversity in painting.
Artist Park Si-wol builds a faint and opaque drawing technique by repeatedly drawing thin lines, while artist Oh Se-kyung is characterized by staging ironic moments of daily life, social issues, and absurdities of events through her unique painterly devices such as fire, light, and smoke. Artist Choi Soo-jung challenges traditional methods through a new form of painting that combines painting, installation, and objects.
Choi Soo-jung said, "During the three years of support as a Chong Kun Dang Art Award artist, I will focus on my artistic activities and present a deeper artistic world."
Kim Tae-young, CEO of Chong Kun Dang Holdings, said, "This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Chong Kun Dang Art Award, and I would like to express my gratitude to the past award-winning artists who have grown into pivotal figures in the domestic art scene," adding, "We will continue to plan sustainable and practical support programs such as artist exchange programs and exhibitions to support the growth of emerging artists."

The "Chong Kun Dang Art Award" was established following the proposal of Chairman Lee Jang-han to create a creative environment where emerging artists with growth potential can fully demonstrate their capabilities. In partnership with the Korea Mecenat Association and the alternative space 'Art Space Hue,' it has selected and supported a total of 33 artists since 2012 as part of the "Meeting of Business and Art (A&B)" partnership project.
