Nongshim Resumes Factory Tour Program After 2 Years... Also Offers Online Option
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Nongshim announced on the 27th that it will resume factory tours, which had been suspended due to the domestic spread of COVID-19.
Nongshim's factory tours are a representative consumer communication program with about 20,000 participants annually. Nongshim plans to operate the tour program at six factories nationwide, including Anyang, Anseong, Asan, Gumi, Busan, and Noksan, just as before COVID-19. After preparations such as inspection of the tour routes and system improvements, the application system for the general public will open from mid-next month, and the tour program will be fully operated starting in June.
Due to the spread of COVID-19, Nongshim has been engaging consumers through online live tours. Since May last year until recently, about 160 online tours have been conducted with approximately 7,000 participants. Even after resuming in-person tours, online tours will continue for students and the general public who have difficulty moving or accessing the locations geographically. Nongshim also conducted a pilot tour for employees' families at the Anyang factory yesterday.
