On the 26th, POSCO Chemical signed an 'e-Battery Track Program Agreement' with UNIST at the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology. The signing ceremony was attended by Min Kyung-jun, CEO of POSCO Chemical, and Lee Yong-hoon, President of UNIST, among others.
Starting from the second half of this year, they will operate the e-Battery Track program to cultivate specialized personnel in battery materials. POSCO Chemical will select outstanding master's and doctoral candidates from the Department of Energy Chemical Engineering at UNIST, and upon completion of the industry-tailored degree program in battery materials, these students will be employed at POSCO Chemical's research centers.
The selected students will conduct field-oriented research by engaging in battery material research, visiting POSCO Chemical's industrial sites, and undertaking related projects, while also completing liberal arts courses. POSCO Chemical will fully cover tuition fees and scholarships for the degree program.
Last month, POSCO Chemical signed an e-Battery Track program agreement with POSTECH, and plans to expand cooperation with major domestic universities to secure competitiveness in next-generation battery material technologies.
