KB?Sonbo, Creating 'Maumteuntteun Kit (KIT)' for Earth Day Sharing
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] KB Insurance announced on the 26th that it has produced the ‘Ma-eum Tteuntteun Kit (KIT)’ to help children’s psychological and emotional stability by recycling insurance policies that have become difficult to use due to product revisions, in commemoration of ‘Earth Day’ (April 22).
‘Earth Day’ is a day established by environmentalists to raise awareness of the seriousness of global environmental pollution and to protect the Earth’s environment.
KB Insurance recognizes the seriousness of climate change and carries out ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities every year to reflect on the meaning of ‘Earth Day’ and to promote the necessity of practicing low-carbon lifestyles to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
This year, the company is conducting a company-wide ESG campaign throughout April to collect unused insurance policies that have become difficult to use due to regular revisions of insurance products and produce goods called ‘Ma-eum Tteuntteun KIT’ through recycling processes.
The ‘Ma-eum Tteuntteun KIT’ consists of a mandala coloring book, mood tracker, mood record notebook, colored pencils, and more. The ‘mandala coloring book’ features circular designs developed in ancient India that embody beauty in stability and balance, which help soothe the mind and are widely used in psychological therapy.
The ‘mood tracker’ is an emotional diary that records daily feelings with colors. It visualizes emotions and helps find a lifestyle that suits the individual.
KB Insurance plans to deliver the ‘Ma-eum Tteuntteun KIT’ to about 500 children in nationwide shelters for abused children and group homes in wildfire-affected areas on Children’s Day, May 5.
