[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] A female professional golfer in her 30s, accused of setting fire to a hotel in a fit of anger after a quarrel with her boyfriend, has been handed over to the prosecution.
On the 26th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that professional golfer A (32), who was booked on charges of arson of general property, was sent to the prosecution without detention on the 20th.
According to the police, A is suspected of setting fire inside a room at a residence hotel in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu on February 14. It is reported that A set fire to her clothes using a gas stove after a quarrel with her boyfriend. Although there were no casualties, the smoke caused a commotion as about 60 guests evacuated.
