From Gucci to Louis Vuitton... Pop-up Restaurant 'Pierre Sang at Louis Vuitton' Opens
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Louis Vuitton will operate a pop-up restaurant, ‘Pierre Sang at Louis Vuitton,’ offering a new level of dining experience from next month 4th to June 10th. Previously, Gucci operated the 'Osteria Gucci' restaurant.
This pop-up restaurant, unveiled for the first time in Korea, can be found on the 4th floor of Louis Vuitton Maison Seoul. The lunch and dinner courses presented by Pierre Sang will be operated by reservation only, along with a separate tea time from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
The restaurant is carried out in collaboration with Korean-French chef Pierre Sang Boyer, who will showcase original menus as the executive chef. Pierre Sang participated in a Blue House state guesthouse dinner with former French President Fran?ois Hollande in 2015, and currently operates five restaurants bearing his name in Paris, France, with additional restaurant openings planned.
Pierre Sang said, “I am very grateful and honored to present French cuisine with Korean colors using local seasonal ingredients at Louis Vuitton’s first pop-up restaurant,” adding, “I have learned that sharing a meal has the power of integration that can overcome language and cultural barriers, and since opening my Paris restaurant in 2012, I have tried to incorporate my complex DNA into my cooking.”
This pop-up restaurant is reborn as a space combining the aesthetics of Louis Vuitton and Pierre Sang Boyer, from marble tabletop tables to copper-colored walls and the unique monogram flowers decorating the ceiling. In particular, as part of Louis Vuitton’s commitment to sustainability, leftover leather from product manufacturing will be repurposed into napkin holders engraved with the mascot Vivienne, providing a differentiated experience even in detailed aspects.

Meanwhile, Louis Vuitton Maison Seoul is a building first introduced in Korea by the master of modern architecture Frank Gehry. It is characterized by inspiration drawn from Korea’s 18th-century architecture Suwon Hwaseong and the elegant movements of the traditional Dongnae Hakchum dance, which depicts a crane by fluttering white overcoats.
