"Lotte Duty Free Strengthens Domestic and International Customer Marketing, Signs MOU with Shinhan Bank"
Shinhan Bank Offers Lotte Duty Free Discount Coupons and Tier Upgrades to New Currency Exchange and Foreign Currency Savings Customers
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte Duty Free announced on the 26th that it has signed a strategic business agreement with Shinhan Bank to strengthen marketing targeting customers preparing for overseas travel.
The signing ceremony held on the 25th at Lotte Duty Free headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul was attended by Lee Sang-jin, Head of Marketing Division at Lotte Duty Free, and Kim Min-su, Head of Foreign Exchange Division at Shinhan Bank, representing both companies. Based on this agreement, Lotte Duty Free and Shinhan Bank plan to jointly conduct various promotions and events targeting inbound tourists and domestic customers in preparation for the recovery of travel demand.
Domestic customers who subscribe to Shinhan Bank's 'Someday Foreign Currency Savings' will receive reward points that can be used at Lotte Internet Duty Free and will have their membership tier upgraded. Foreign tourists visiting Shinhan Bank will be offered preferential exchange rates and discount coupons for Lotte Duty Free. From May to December, foreign customers holding these coupons can receive an immediate discount of up to $22 depending on their purchase amount at all downtown duty-free stores of Lotte Duty Free.
Lee Sang-jin, Head of Marketing Division at Lotte Duty Free, said, "We signed this business agreement to provide more benefits to domestic and foreign customers who are excitedly preparing for overseas travel," adding, "We hope that customers using Lotte Duty Free and Shinhan Bank will enjoy preferential exchange rates and duty-free shopping discounts."

Meanwhile, Lotte Duty Free is offering various benefits and promotions amid signs of overseas travel resumption. An online and offline shopping festival is being held until May 31. Considering the recent strong dollar trend and increased exchange rates, the 'Dynamic Exchange Rate Compensation Event' provides up to 35,000 KRW in 'LDF Pay' based on the store exchange rate and purchase amount at Lotte Duty Free downtown stores on the purchase date. Additional reward points are also given, including $25 in The Dream Money at Lotte Internet Duty Free and up to $45 in KakaoPay payment-only money.
