The contract involves supplying products worth approximately 172 billion KRW by the second half of 2023 for the "Qatar LNG Northern Gas Field Project" conducted by Samsung C&T.
The Qatar LNG Northern Gas Field Project is a large-scale project worth 1.8 trillion KRW, including three LNG storage tanks with a capacity of 187,000㎥ each, three port berthing facilities, and transportation pipelines within the LNG gas field.
The stainless steel welded pipes supplied by SeAH Steel are high value-added products that, unlike ordinary carbon steel, have excellent low-temperature impact toughness and high-pressure durability, preventing breakage even under cryogenic conditions.
SeAH Steel plans to actively target the stainless steel welded pipe market to meet the rapidly increasing demand for LNG projects during the global energy transition. Following the supply of stainless steel thick-walled pipes for the Canada LNG project in 2020 and the Mozambique LNG project in 2021, this is the third large-scale LNG project order.
