[Photo] Korea-Turkey Customs Chiefs Meeting... "Discussion on Resolving Origin Verification Issues"
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korea Customs Service announced on the 25th that it held the "7th Korea-Turkey Customs Chiefs Meeting" in Seoul to discuss current issues and cooperation matters between the customs authorities of the two countries. At this meeting, the two agencies discussed cooperation on Free Trade Agreement (FTA) origin verification, promotion of advanced customs administration training using Official Development Assistance (ODA), and ways to strengthen cooperation between the Seoul and Ankara customs offices. In particular, the Korea Customs Service requested the Turkish customs authorities to support the current World Customs Organization (WCO) Deputy Secretary General Kang Tae-il, Director of Capacity Building, in the upcoming WCO Deputy Secretary General election scheduled for June this year.
