Gyeongbuk Province Partners with LotteON for Social Economy Joint Sale
Up to 34% Discount at LotteON 'Gyeongbuk Market' Until May 11
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Gyeongbuk Province has opened a dedicated section for local social economy enterprises called ‘Gyeongbuk Market’ on LotteON and is conducting the ‘Gyeongbuk Social Economy Companion Sale’ with discounts of up to 34% until the 11th of next month.
This event is a special discount promotion held to commemorate the opening of the ‘Gyeongbuk Market,’ a dedicated section for excellent social economy products from Gyeongbuk within LotteON, Lotte Shopping’s integrated online shopping mall.
With active support from Lotte Shopping, online advertisements and additional discounts are applied, allowing customers to purchase excellent products from local social economy enterprises at affordable prices.
At LotteON’s ‘Gyeongbuk Market,’ more than 200 products from 44 outstanding local social economy enterprises are sold, including ready-to-eat convenience foods, various processed food products, agricultural, livestock, and marine products, cosmetics, and more.
Products include agricultural, livestock, and marine products such as mushrooms, meat, and fruits; ready-to-cook convenience foods; seasonings like soy sauce; teas and beverages made from processed specialty products; independence movement goods featuring quotes from independence activists; snacks such as cookies and bread; fair trade coffee; cosmetics; and more, with continuous additions planned.
The province is informing about the discount event to approximately 1,000 locations including nationwide cities and provinces, city and county districts, public institutions such as corporations and public enterprises, partner organizations, and companies, and is actively requesting their participation to ensure excellent social economy enterprise products can be consumed through diverse sales channels.
A representative of a social enterprise participating in the event said, “Whenever the economic downturn caused by COVID-19 continues and sales channels are blocked, Gyeongbuk Province actively pioneers large distribution companies and encourages participation, giving social economy enterprises a breath of fresh air,” expressing high expectations for the event.
Considering that the annual holiday planning exhibition through the post office shopping mall recorded an average monthly sales of 600 million KRW, it is expected that sales will exceed 600 million KRW in this event as well.
