View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] On Monday the 25th, rain is expected nationwide. Rain will begin in Jeju Island from late afternoon and expand to the Chungcheong region and southern areas from night.
The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted that due to very strong southerly winds bringing in a large amount of moisture and the geographical influence, very heavy rain will fall in Jeju Island, the southern coast, and around Jirisan Mountain.
Expected rainfall amounts are ▲Southern coast, Jeju Island (excluding northern coast), around Jirisan Mountain 50?120mm ▲Chungcheong region, southern areas, northern coast of Jeju Island 20?70mm ▲Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Province, and the five islands in the West Sea 5?40mm. The rain will start to stop from the morning of the 26th in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Province, and Chungnam region, and will cease in most areas nationwide by the afternoon.
Especially from dawn to morning tomorrow, very heavy rain of 30?50mm per hour or more will fall in Jeju Island, the southern coast, and around Jirisan Mountain, so caution is needed for lowland flooding, retaining wall collapse, and facility management. During the rain, there will be gusts of wind along with thunder and lightning in the Chungcheong region, southern areas, and Jeju Island.
Due to hot and humid moisture, the entire country will be cloudy with temperatures higher than average until the 26th. As of 7 a.m., temperatures are Seoul 17.2°C, Incheon 15.9°C, Suwon 17.4°C, Chuncheon 14.8°C, Gangneung 18.9°C, Cheongju 17.2°C, Daejeon 16.3°C, Jeonju 16.3°C, Gwangju 15.5°C, Daegu 16.9°C, Busan 16.4°C, Ulsan 19.4°C, Changwon 15.9°C, Jeju 15°C, etc.
The highest daytime temperature on the 25th is forecasted to be 21?30°C. The daily temperature range will be very large at 15?20°C. After the rain stops, temperatures in the central region will drop sharply by more than 20°C, and the lowest morning temperature on the 27th is expected to be 6?15°C. Care should be taken for health due to the rapid temperature change.
Fine dust levels are 'bad' in southern Gyeonggi Province, and 'good' to 'normal' in other regions. Seoul, northern Gyeonggi, Chungcheong region, Gwangju, and Jeonbuk will temporarily experience 'bad' levels in the morning.
The Korea Meteorological Administration issued a strong wind preliminary warning starting at dawn on the 26th for Busan, Jeju Island, Gyeongnam (Namhae, Goseong, Geoje, Tongyeong, Changwon), and the coastal areas of Jeonnam. From the morning of the 26th, Ulsan will also have a strong wind preliminary warning in effect. Along with this, from the night of the 25th, a high wave preliminary warning was issued for the southern sea off Jeju Island, and from dawn on the 26th for the waters in front of Jeju Island, southwestern and eastern parts of the South Sea.
Sea fog is flowing into the southern coast and Jeju coastal areas, causing dense fog with visibility less than 200 meters in some places, and dense fog with visibility less than 1 km is expected inland as well. On bridges and roads adjacent to the West Sea coast, fog is thicker than surrounding areas in some places.
