RazerCell Receives Preliminary Approval for KOSDAQ Listing
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Laser solution company LaserCell announced on the 24th that it has received approval for the preliminary review for listing on KOSDAQ.
LaserCell will prepare all necessary documents for submitting the securities registration statement and will actively proceed with the initial public offering (IPO) process. The company is pursuing a technology-specialized listing, with Samsung Securities as the lead underwriter.
Founded in 2015, LaserCell developed a surface-laser reflow equipment that bonds chips and semiconductor substrates (PCBs) based on its innovative ‘surface light source-area’ laser technology. Unlike conventional point-type lasers, it irradiates laser in a surface form while maintaining uniformity of the laser beam. The company explained that this technology can meet the demands of semiconductor, display, and secondary battery industries, which require miniaturization, high performance, and integration.
Its main products include the LSR series of surface-laser reflow equipment and the BSOM device within the equipment. By irradiating chips with surface-shaped laser beams, LaserCell maximized the speed and efficiency of the process compared to traditional packaging methods.
LaserCell has supplied its proprietary process development technology and application equipment to renowned semiconductor foundries and mobile device companies. Leading customers in various fields are also considering adopting new equipment. LaserCell recorded sales of 9.682 billion KRW last year, a 152% increase compared to the previous year.
Choi Jaejun, CEO of LaserCell, said, "We have received approval for the preliminary review, the first step toward listing on KOSDAQ," adding, "We plan to submit the securities registration statement soon and proceed with the full-scale public offering process for listing."
