The preparation team for Park's confirmation hearing explained that if only the base salary is calculated, all increases are in single digits.
According to the confirmation hearing request submitted by Park to the National Assembly on the 21st, Park's second daughter, Park Mo, joined CJ CheilJedang through open recruitment in the second half of 2016. The amount she received the following year was 35.36 million won in base salary and 4.542 million won in bonuses, totaling 39.902 million won. In 2020, the base salary increased by 19.9%, and the bonus rose by 7.4058 million won. She received a total of 62.54701 million won. Last year, she received 79.99291 million won, with increases of 19.5% and 7.7818 million won respectively. Her annual salary nearly doubled in four years.

The preparation team for Park's confirmation hearing stated, "According to CJ CheilJedang, the approximately 19% base salary increase for two consecutive years includes various allowances such as seniority and overtime pay." They added, "CJ CheilJedang gave employees many incentives due to high performance. It was not only Park's child who benefited." CJ CheilJedang also explained, "The compensation system, composed of salary and incentives, is systematized institutionally. There is no room to provide benefits to specific individuals." They further stated, "The company achieved good results over the past two years, resulting in many incentives. Last year, special performance bonuses were also given to frontline employees."
