Chonnam National University Hospital-KH Medical, MOU for Medical Industry Development
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Chonnam National University Hospital and KH Medical have signed a business agreement to foster the medical industry, including cooperation for the development of innovative diagnostic medical devices and diagnostic reagents.
Recently, at the reception room on the 2nd floor of the administration building of Chonnam National University Hospital, representatives from both institutions, including Hospital Director Ahn Young-geun, Medical Director Park Chang-hwan, Planning and Coordination Director Yoon Kyung-chul, Professor Ki Seung-jung of the Department of Laboratory Medicine, CEO Hong Man-hyung, and Director Barua Sumit, gathered to hold the signing ceremony.
Accordingly, both institutions will collaborate on the development of innovative diagnostic medical devices and diagnostic reagents, conduct performance testing and clinical evaluations for regulatory approval of developed and improved products, jointly cooperate on government-led industry-academia research projects, and exchange research personnel between the two institutions.
Hospital Director Ahn Young-geun stated, “With this agreement, it is expected that both institutions will grow together by combining the core medical technologies in diagnostic laboratory medicine secured by Chonnam National University Hospital and the medical device development technology and certification know-how possessed by KH Medical.”

CEO Hong Man-hyung said, “The opinions of medical staff who use diagnostic medical devices on-site play an important role in enhancing the completeness of the products during development,” and added, “Through this agreement, excellent diagnostic devices will be developed, which is expected to greatly contribute to the domestic and international healthcare markets.”
